The Ruhnu Lighthouse is a unique cylindrical tower supported by slanted braces. Designed by engineer Louis Édouard Lecointre, its prefabricated elements were manufactured in France. Made of sheet metal, the lighthouse stands 40 meters tall from its base. Having operated for over a hundred years, this metal tower is still functional today and is the only surviving lighthouse of its kind in the Baltic Sea region.
