Early spring witnesses the arrival of bird-watchers who can spend hours in Sõrve, Linnulahe or Tagamõisa watchtowers. Bird-watchers are followed by orchid hunters who would walk enthusiastically through the forests in the hope of getting a photo or a drawing of unknown species. And then there are lighthouse lovers, who always seem to reach somewhere, since the lighthouses they are looking for would always stand by the sea, right at the end of the road. The soil of Saaremaa is perfect for mushrooms and the island becomes a rich hunting ground for mushroom enthusiasts in the autumn.
